Monroe County Passes Fair Chance Employment Act

The Monroe County Legislature enacted the Fair Chance Employment Act and prohibited “the box,” banning inquiries about criminal history on county job applications. During yesterday’s legislative meeting, the lawmakers cast their votes, resulting in a 20 to 9 decision in favor of the act.
