Cardi B’s Microphone Auctioned for Almost $100,000

Last month, while performing in Las Vegas, Cardi B hurled a microphone at a fan. That same microphone has now sold for a pretty penny.

Yesterday, the infamous microphone, which has now become a sought-after item, was auctioned off on eBay for close to $100,000, as reported by CBS News. Scott Fisher, the owner of The Wave – the sound company that supplied the microphone for Cardi B’s performance at Drai’s Beachclub – coordinated the listing. He confidently stated in the advertisement’s description that the microphone – a Shure Axient Digital Mic – is indeed the one that Cardi B used. Fisher stated, “This is the Shure microphone depicted in all the viral videos where Cardi B threw it at a spectator in the crowd at Drais Beach Club on July 29th, 2023.”

The online auction, which ended on August 8, attracted a total of 122 bidders for the microphone.
A mic of this type, similar to the one thrown by Cardi B, normally sells at retail for $1,000. However, in this particular auction, the final sale price reached $99,900.00.
