Monroe County Kicks Off Rochester Pride Month
Written by Site Hub on July 8, 2023
Monroe County is proudly displaying the colors of Pride this month. Even though Pride Month is nationally observed in June, it is celebrated in July within this county.
Allan Richards, the legislative coordinator for Assemblyman Harry Bronson, emphasized the importance of Pride by stating: “The significance of Pride lies in its assertion of our dignity, irrespective of our identity, appearance, the person we love or how we express our gender. Everyone deserves respect and equality by virtue of their inherent dignity.” The annual Pride Parade in Rochester is scheduled for July 15th, immediately followed by the Pride Festival.
