Monroe County Election Results 2019

The 2019 Primary Elections have officially wrapped and some of the offices have changed in leadership.

First and foremost, congratulations goes out to newly appointed Monroe County Court Judge Karen Bailey Turner! She made history last night by becoming the first African American to hold the position. Democrat Michael Dollinger won the second seat for Monroe County Court Judge.

In the race for Monroe County District Attorney, although a close one, incumbent Sandra Doorley beat out Democrat Shani Curry Mitchell to remain in office. Many of the county legislature seats remained the same this year.

The biggest upset of this election has to be the race for Monroe County Executive. Here, Monroe County Clerk Adam Bello also made history when he beat out incumbent Cheryl Dinolfo to become the first Democratic Monroe County Executive in 30 years. This too was a close race with the numbers ending in a mere 3.2% difference!
