Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley was involved in a contentious traffic stop captured on police body camera footage. After being pulled over for speeding at 55 mph in a 35 mph zone, Doorley, instead of stopping immediately, drove home and called Webster Police Chief Dennis Kohlmeier. In the footage, she is seen repeatedly invoking her position and refusing to comply with the officer’s requests. Doorley initially resisted giving her ID and told the officer to talk to the police chief on the phone, arguing about her knowledge of the law and expressing frustration over her day.

“I just don’t understand the hostility toward me,” the officer says. “I’m doing my job.”

“No, you’re being an [expletive],” Doorley says.

“How am I being an [expletive],” the officer says.

“I am the DA of Monroe County,” Doorley says.

“I understand that, but that doesn’t give you a right to go 55 in a 35,” the officer says.

Despite her resistance, the officer issued her a speeding ticket. Doorley later pled guilty and submitted the ticket to Webster Town Court and issued a statement addressing the incident.
