Monroe County Announces Mobile Pharmaceutical to Collect Waste

Monroe County has organized a series of events in the upcoming months to facilitate the collection of pharmaceutical waste and household hazardous waste. There will be three separate occasions dedicated to collecting pharmaceutical waste, each taking place at a different Wegmans store from 9 am to 1 pm. The dates and locations for these events are:
- Saturday, May 20: 745 Calkins Road, Henrietta
- Saturday, July 22: 1955 Empire Boulevard, Penfield
- Saturday, Sept. 9: 3701 Mt. Read Boulevard, Greece
During these events, locals will have the opportunity to safely dispose of their unused or unwanted prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, sharps, syringes, inhalers, EpiPens, and various other items. Appointments are not required.
