Monroe Advances to State Championship, Eyes First RCSD Football Title

Monroe crushed Owego Free Academy 48–7 to earn a spot in the New York State Class B Championship and move one win away from the Rochester City School District’s first football state title. Terrell Cunningham Jr. threw for 275 yards and five total touchdowns, while Messiah Hampton scored twice and added 129 receiving yards. Monroe’s defense, led by Jermaine Montgomery and D’Markos Trammell, held Owego to one score. The Red Jackets face Sleepy Hollow for the state title on December 6.
