Megan Thee Stallion Responds to 1501 Countersuit

In case you’re out of the loop, the 1501 label is claiming that Megan Thee Stallion’s 2021 project Something for Thee Hotties wasn’t an album and should not count toward their contractual agreement. Well, Meg is not happy about this as she filed her own lawsuit against the label. 1501 has filed a countersuit against Megan, stating that the project was a compilation of past and present material and not an album.
On behalf of Megan Thee Stallion, Brad Hancock, Megan’s attorney, stated: “This is yet another absurd attempt by 1501 to disregard Megan’s album and squeeze more money and more free work out of her for as long as possible…We will ask the court to protect Megan from this type of abuse.”
