Meet the Rising Stars Nominated for BET’s ‘Best New Artist’ Award

The BET Awards 2024 on June 30 will feature a “Best New Artist” category for emerging talents making a significant impact in music. The nominees are 41, 4Batz, Ayra Starr, Bossman Dlow, Fridayy, October London, Tyla, and Sexyy Red.
4Batz, a Dallas-based singer-songwriter, has been endorsed by Kanye West. The rap group 41, consisting of Kyle Richh, Jenn Cartee, and TaTa, is gaining recognition in the Drill sub-genre. Bossman Dlow, from Tallahassee, achieved success with his viral single “Get In with Me.”
Haitian-American artist Fridayy has collaborated with major names like Chris Brown and DJ Khaled. Nigerian singer Ayra Starr is known for her blend of Afrobeat, R&B, and soulful sounds. October London brings a mix of old-school R&B and contemporary twists.
Tyla, a South African artist, quickly rose to fame with hits like “Getting Late” and “Water,” becoming the youngest African artist to win a Grammy. Sexyy Red is known for her bold lyrics and energetic rap style.
