McQuaid Graduate Sadly Dies After Accidental Fall

Our city mourns after a McQuaid Jesuit graduate, 22-year-old Dane Leclair, was found dead after falling from a parking garage at 7th and North Streets in Nebraska.

Nebraska’s Lincoln Police Department investigated his death and determined that he fell from the fourth story in the early morning. They have ruled his death as accidental.

After playing volleyball and graduating from McQuaid Jesuit in 2015, Leclair went on to play volleyball at Loyola University Chicago. At the time of his death, he was a graduate student at the University of Nebraska and a student manager for the school’s volleyball program.

Director of communications for McQuaid Jesuit, Sean Mullen, released the following statement about Leclair, “The McQuaid Jesuit community is saddened to learn about the sudden death of 2015 alumnus, Dane Leclair. A bright, talented young man, McQuaid was blessed with his presence as a student, as an athlete, and as a man for others during his middle school and high school days. Our prayers and condolences go out to the entire Leclair family and all those who knew him at this difficult time.”
