MCC Partners with Sydor Optics to Launch Advanced Technology Center

Monroe Community College is expanding its optics program through a partnership with Sydor Optics, launching the new Sydor Optics Advanced Technology Center. This state-of-the-art facility will support education and workforce development in the growing field of optics, which spans laser technology, fiber optics, imaging systems, and more. MCC professor Dr. Alexis Vogt and Sydor Optics President Jonathan Sydor emphasized the impact this initiative will have on Rochester’s economy and the regional job market, helping to address the high demand for skilled technicians in precision optics manufacturing.
