Mayor Lovely Warren Announces That She’s Running For A Third Term

Written by on January 10, 2021

On Saturday, Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren told the press that she intends on running for a third term.

The mayor recently released a video after the announcement of the outline of an economic recovery agenda during a “State of the City” video piece.

The videos both highlight her successes during her tenure, but also address the pandemic and the death of Daniel Prude.

“The pandemic hit, 2020 hit. It knocked us down. It knocked me down,” Warren said, as the video shows protesters on the steps of City Hall, which is papered with fliers calling for her to resign.

“But what I am proud of is that it didn’t knock us out. I will not and our city cannot forget the lessons learned. Yet we must recognize that we rose up to meet every challenge.”
