It was a heartbreaking day when Chadwick Boseman passed due to stage four colon cancer on August 28th, 2020. After mourning his death, many wondered what will happen to his beloved Marvel character, Black Panther. Well, Marvel’s Nate Moore recently shared why they have decided not to recast Black Panther.
Nate Moore stated: “You will not see T’Challa in the MCU 616 universe. We couldn’t do it. I will say when Chad passed, it was a real conversation we had with Coolgear about ‘what do we do?’ And it was a fast conversation. It wasn’t weeks, it was minutes of. ‘We have to figure out how to move this franchise on without his character.”
