Macy’s department store announced in a press release on Monday that they will be celebrating Black History Month in February by expressing the diversity of Black culture and black people. Several of Macy’s stores will participate by showcasing Black History month-themed windows throughout the month. These windows were designed and done in partnership with New Jersey artist Lisa Hunt.

Some stores will hold events featuring Black influencers and celebrities such as Monica Veloz, Matthew Cherry, Phoebe Robinson, Marley Dias, Kim Kimble, and Jerry Rice. Macy’s Black Employee Resource Group was vital in creating this year’s campaign and will contribute a total of $10,000 to charity throughout this event, including Jerry Rice’s 127 Foundation and Urban Leagues.
