LSU basketball star Angel Reese posted the announcement Wednesday on Instagram, and her decision was also detailed in a story in Vogue. LSU lost to Iowa in the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament Monday, a rematch of last year’s national championship game. ESPN, the network that aired Monday’s game, announced Tuesday that it was the most-watched women’s college basketball game in history. “I’ve done everything I wanted to in college,” Reese said in the Vogue story. “I’ve won a national championship, I’ve gotten [Southeastern Conference] Player of the Year, I’ve been an All-American. My ultimate goal is to be a pro – and to be one of the greatest basketball players to play, ever. I feel like I’m ready.” The WNBA draft takes place on April 15. Reese, a 6-foot-3-inch forward, is projected in mock drafts to be a top-10 pick.
