A local teenage journalist finds himself on the wrong side of a developing story. Geoffrey Rogers, known by the community for his independent news station, GSL Show, has been charged with felony fourth-degree grand larceny, second-degree menacing, falsely reporting an incident, and several traffic citations.
How sway!!??! ?
Apparently, he and an unnamed 13-year-old accomplice stole an unmarked RPD car from a garage on Mount Read Boulevard this past weekend. 911 operators experience several calls in which residents reported an erratic driver early Monday. Rogers even reportedly pointed a BB gun at an eyewitness who confronted the 17-year-old at a Portland avenue gas station during his alleged joy ride.
When asked about how he felt about the situation, Rogers stated “Just made a bad decision… Hopefully things get worked out and charges get dropped. I have a long life.”
