Mayor Warren Urges Recycling of Christmas Trees

(Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020) –Mayor Lovely A. Warren is reminding residents that the City offers recycling of Christmas trees. Recycled trees are chipped and the resulting mulch is returned to the public for free through the City’s Materials Give Back Program Center, located on Ferrano Street near Colfax Street.

Trees can be left at the curb on the resident’s normal refuse collection day to be recycled, or dropped off at one of the following locations:

• City of Rochester Materials Give Back Program Center (Ferrano Street near Colfax Street)
• Cobbs Hill Park (on Norris Drive)
• Norton Village R- Center (300 Waring Rd.)
• Genesee Valley Park tennis courts (across from 1335 Genesee St. Extension)
• Ontario Beach Park (on Estes Street)

Residents can recycle their trees through the end of January
