Local Tattoo Artist Puts Rochester on the National Stage

Laura Marie Wachholder is the co-owner of Atomic Roc Tattoo in Village Gate, a Livingston county native, and now officially owns the title of Ink Master! That’s right, our very own neighbor was crowned the winner of the reality TV show’s 12th season this past Tuesday.

Season 12 of the popular show Ink Master, titled “Battle of the Sexes”, featured 18 tattoo artists divided into male and female teams, with ultimately only one man or woman being chosen as the winner.

Wachholder survived 16 episodes of difficult tattoo challenges to come out on top. In fact, she is only the 2nd woman in the show’s history to win the title of Ink Master. Along with the title, she’ll also get a feature in Inked Magazine and $100,000!! That’s a nice little chunk of change right there!
