LisaRaye Responds To Yung Miami

LisaRaye McCoy reacted to Yung Miami’s comments about the actress’ critique of her lyrics to ‘Spend Dat‘.  McCoy shared a message for the artist during Thursday’s episode of ‘Sh*t Chat with Carlos King & LisaRaye and Carlos King.’ Raye previously noted that she didn’t like the song’s lyrics about strip-club culture. Yung Miami worked as a stripper before finding fame, and she brought up the actress’s role as a stripper in ‘The Players Club.’ Raye reacted to the rapper with a compliment, and perhaps a bit of sarcasm.

“She nailed it. I did ‘Players Club’,” Raye admitted. “But I’m not a stripper. Did I like that part?… I thought it was going to be a closed set.”

Raye went on to say that despite not liking the lyrics for ‘Spend Dat‘, she likes Yung Miami and was not personally attacking her.

“And, and here’s the thing,” she continued. “I met Yung Miami, and I like her, because — and I even like her more, because I’ve seen her growth over the years and how she stood by Diddy and her loyalty.’

What LisaRaye Said About ‘Spend Dat’ And Yung Miami’s Reaction

The Shade Room reported that LisaRaye revealed that despite performing the ‘Spend Dat’ challenge, she didn’t like the song’s lyrics.

“I’m conflicted because I don’t believe in the words of the song,” she said.

During an appearance on ‘The Morning Hustle‘ on Wednesday, October 14, Yung Miami was asked about LisaRaye’s criticism. The artist said that she was re-creating a scene from LisaRaye’s movie, ‘The Players’ Club’ with ‘Spend Dat.’ Not only that, but she noted that LisaRaye played a stripper named Diamond in the film and called her out over her critique.

“What’s so crazy is, you — you watch ‘The Players Club? , she said. “So, um, I wanted to re-recreate the scene in the dressing room… I just wanted to put, like, a little spice up the video, but it’s like to say that about a song, and you did a whole — girl, you was Diamond in ‘The Players Club.’ What are we talking about?”
