Lil Kim waves red flag at Snoop Dogg over “Lovers & Friends” music festival

Written by on February 23, 2020

When the promotional flyer for the “Lovers & Friends” music festival was released on Tuesday (February 18), Lil Kim was listed as one of the artists performing at the May 9th event. But Lil Kim took issue with this, posting on her IG “This is so FAKE! I am not a part of this.” And she wasn’t the only one to cry foul as social media erupted with comments from other artists billed on the flyer.

Snoop Dogg revealed that he is one of the booking agents for the festival, and he thought his staff had already contacted and confirmed Lil Kim’s participation in the festival. And although Twista did confirm that he’ll be performing at the festival, he also noted that he had not yet been paid a deposit for his performance.

Music fans got cold feet after the mixups, posting to social media their need for assurance from other headliners that they’ll actually be at the festival before fans start shelling out the money for their tickets. Snoop Dogg said the festival is absolutely legitimate and urged fans to get their tickets early while they’re still available.

The Lovers & Friends music festival is still scheduled for May 9 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, and tickets will be available on February 20.
