Join us as we kick off the holiday season with this annual downtown family celebration!Watch a holiday performance from a local choral group and enjoy the powerful sounds of Prime Time Brass! Santa and his Elf, along with holiday costumed characters such as Rudolph and friends, will be participating to meet & greet everyone! Great photo ops!Mayor Lovely Warren and Santa will kick off the holiday season with the Lighting of the Liberty Pole! Then join Mayor Warren and Santa in a family-friendly holiday parade to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park (MLK) where there will be ground fireworks and crafts in the Lodge @ MLK Park. Ice skating is free at the MLK Park Ice Rink (skate rental is $3 and limited) to the music of DJ Beal’s Rock and Roll Review. Other attractions include free horse-drawn wagon rides and a 30-foot fully-decorated holiday tree. Refreshments and food will be available for purchase. Hop on an old time trolley to take you back to the parking garages! |
