Over the weekend, Main Street Armory hosted the city’s first BrickUniverse LEGO Convention. The event featured artists from near and far displaying dozens of works that included a seated King Triton, an 8-foot-high LEGO Model of New York City’s Woolworth Building, a replica of Burj Khalifa, the largest skyscraper in the world, plus the full Westminster Palace in London, and a LEGO’s Star Wars Zone.
Jeff Johnson of Rochester and ambassador of a local LEGO club stated: “You feel like as a kid, you’re too old for LEGO,” said Johnson. “But then you realize, no LEGO is just really cool, so there’s no such thing as being too old for LEGO.”
