LeBron Group “More Than A Vote” To Protecting Voting Rights For Black People

LeBron James is working on protecting the Black vote with “More Than a Vote,”. A group of Black athletes and entertainers coming together to bring awareness about voting rights.

He’ll be joined by Atlanta Hawks Trae Young, Phoenix Mercury Skylar Diggins-Smith, Former NBA/ current ESPN broadcaster Jalen Rose and more.

The goal? Protecting the voting rights of Black Americans.

 

James has been at the forefront of social justice issues since the killing of 17-year-old black teenager Trayvon Martin in February 2012. Plus, the “I Can’t Breathe” tees during pregame warm-ups in 2014 after the death of Eric Garner. Trae Young said “If people my age see that I’m going out and I’m voting and I’m talking, maybe the next 21-year-old will.”
