KFC Jumps in the Summer ‘19 Chicken Sandwich War

You read that right, it’s the Colonel’s time to shine baby! If you’re a living, breathing human (or alien, I suppose), then you’re probably aware of the Great Summer ‘19 Chicken Sandwich War between Popeyes and Chick-fil-A. Well KFC has thrown their hat in the ring with the launch of their new Donut Chicken Sandwich.

The pioneers of finger-lickin good chicken have created a play on the ever popular chicken n’ waffles with this one. The sandwich features a crispy chicken filet between two glazed donuts, served by itself for $5.99 or as a combo for $7.99. 

As of now the sandwich has only been released in test markets, Richmond and Norfolk, Virginia and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I’m anxious to see if it will be released nationwide!
