Kendrick Lamar Leads 2025 VMAs with 10 Nominations

Kendrick Lamar tops the 2025 MTV VMA nominations with 10 nods, thanks largely to his hit “Not Like Us,” which followed his public feud with Drake. He’s up for Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, and Best Album, among others. “Not Like Us” already earned him five Grammys and was the closing performance at Super Bowl LIX. Lamar’s new album GNX and his duet “Luther” with SZA are also receiving critical acclaim. He joins a top-tier list of nominees that includes Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and Sabrina Carpenter. The 2025 VMAs will air live from New York’s UBS Arena on September 7.
