Jeff Bezos Will No Longer Be Amazon CEO

It was announced on Tuesday, February 2nd, the founder of Amazon and CEO, Jeff Bezos will be stepping down from his current position as Chief Executive to the role of Executive Chair later this year. His replacement Andy Jassy, who currently serves as CEO of Amazon’s cloud business, Amazon Web Services, has been with the company since 1997.
Bezos started Amazon in 1995 and took it from online book sales to a reported $1.7 trillion global retail and logistics monster. He has since become one of the richest people in the world.
Now, 25 years in, the news of Jeff Bezos’ transition came as part of Amazon’s fourth-quarter earnings report. Here’s a detailed report on CNN.
