Jazz Fest Officially Postponed Until 2021

Written by on July 13, 2020

The Rochester Jazz fest is officially cancelling its annual event for 2020, but says that it will pick up again in 2021.

In an announcement on social media, organizers Mark Iacona and John Nugent let Rochester know that it’s going to move the even to June 2021 due to the coronavirus.

There were talks about having a smaller scale version of the event earlier in June, but officials have now decided that it would be better to wait and make sure everything could happen the way it should.

In the release, they said:

“This is the decision we didn’t want to make. We held out hope for as long as possible even as most major festivals and concert events around the world were postponing. But as we have now arrived at a critical junction, needing to finalize artists and logistic arrangements, reality has prevailed.”
