Jason Wright Is The First Black President In The NFL

Jason Wright is the first Black team president in NFL history. Washington Football Club hired him. Yes, the one that just changed its name.

Wright is only the fourth former player in the NFL to have that role. Washington had been without a president since Bruce Allen was fired after the 2019 season. Washington, undergone severe changes in the past several months. Along with the name change, came a damaging report in The Washington Post last month detailing sexual harassment accusations against five former employees.

According to ESPN, Wright played seven years in the NFL as a running back with four teams, retiring after the 2010 season to attend business school. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Northwestern, where he remains the No. 7 all-time leading rusher in school history. To Read More Click Here
