On Friday, September 13th the WDKX Jam Squad attended one of the exhibitions of Rochester Fringe Festival 2019 at Parcel 5 in beautiful downtown Rochester. This particular show was free and full of family fun!

For those of you that may not know, Fringe Festival began in 2012 and is described as an “all-out, no-holds-barred, multi-disciplinary visual and performing arts festival featuring international, national and local artists.” In their now 7th installation of Fringe, there was no holding back this year.

The first thing that caught my eye when we arrived were all the food trucks lining the perimeter of the festival. There was everything from fried dough to burgers, and it all smelled amazing! The exhibit we attended was titled Pearl: Secrets of the Sea which featured giant floating inflatable sea creatures to tell their underwater story. On top of that we even had our good friend Jazzy T from Rochester’s Best Ride Home join us!

If you want to catch more of the Fringe Fest action don’t worry, you have plenty of options. Rochester Fringe Festival 2019 has more than 500 events at over 25 different venues going on until September 21st! For more information on these events, visit https://rochesterfringe.com/.
