Input Session For The Housing Quality Task Force In The City Of Rochester

Since the pandemic and prior to there has been a lot of discussion on housing in the city of Rochester. With rising rent, evictions, housing quality, affordable home options, and foreclosures people are left with more questions than answers.

Rochester City Councils Kim Smith will be holding input sessions to address housing in the city. There will be four sessions with the first one on Thursday, July 28th.

The focus will be on the Housing Quality Task Force recommendations. There were 16 new recommendations released in the report. Topics included in the report are repairs, building registry, code enforcement, increasing supply of quality housing, and improving communication and education.

The input session will be held at Thomas P. Ryan R-Center from 4 pm – 5:30pm.
