The 2016 U.S. Olympic Women’s team got into some serious formation in Rio. In total America won 121 medals this year with women wining 61 and men a total of 55.
The U.S. women’s team took home 27 gold medals and the men’s team won 19 gold medals.
The U.S. women dominated. Simone Biles won four gold and one bronze making her the most decorated U.S. gymnast ever in a single Olympics.
Allyson Felix won two golds and one silver in the 400 meters. That in total makes nine medals and her sixth career gold. She is now the most decorated athlete male or female in Olympic track & field history.
Last but not least Katie LeDecky won four gold and one silver, destroyed the world record in the 400 meter and 800 meter freestyles. By the way she is only 19 so expect a lot more from here in 2020!
Okay ladies, now you got into formation, cause you slay! #Gold
