In the Recently Released ‘Highest 2 Lowest’ Trailer, Denzel Washington and A$AP Rocky Light Up The Screen

Spike Lee’s new film, Highest 2 Lowest, reimagines Akira Kurosawa’s 1963 classic High and Low with an electric New York City twist. Denzel Washington stars as a music mogul caught in a cat-and-mouse game with a mysterious figure, played by A$AP Rocky, after his son is kidnapped. The film also features Jeffrey Wright, Ice Spice, and others in a high-intensity ensemble. A$AP Rocky’s performance has been praised, with Lee highlighting his resemblance to Washington and how that added emotional depth. This marks Lee and Washington’s fifth and possibly final collaboration, following classics like Malcolm X and Inside Man. Highest 2 Lowest will hit theaters August 15 and stream on Apple TV+ starting September 5.
