Hurricane Florence Downgraded To Tropical Storm, 5 Deaths Confirmed

Even though Hurricane Florence has been downgraded to a tropical storm the rain is causing catastrophic conditions, from loss of power to downed trees, to flash flooding and 10ft. storm surges.
Five deaths have been confirmed since Hurricane Florence touched land Friday morning hitting North Carolina. All five deaths from the storm are in North Carolina.
A mother and an infant, two 70 year old men, and a woman who died from cardiac arrest – emergency crews could not get through because their route was blocked by trees.
There are now 800,000 people without power according to various news reports which may take up to a couple weeks to restore.
