Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell injured in shooting; teen arrested

Tank Dell, a wide receiver for the NFL’s Houston Texans, was injured during a shooting incident in Sanford, Florida. According to the team’s statement on X (formerly Twitter), the 24-year-old player sustained minor injuries and is in good spirits after being released from the hospital. The shooting occurred at a local bar and restaurant where a fistfight escalated, leading a teenager to open fire towards the crowd. A security guard intervened, tackling and disarming the gunman. Although the identities of all victims have not been confirmed by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, CNN affiliate WESH reported that Dell was among those wounded. The incident resulted in at least ten people being hospitalized, and a 16-year-old has been arrested in connection to the shooting. The Texans have requested privacy for Dell and stated that further updates will be provided as appropriate.
