Home Fires In Rochester Went Up 25% Since NY-On Pause Began

Written by on May 1, 2020

According to reports, Rochester area home fires have gone up 25% since Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Executive Order, New York On Pause, went into effect in late March.
I can definitely see why those numbers are increasing with 80% of America’s workforce laid off and spending most of their time inside. People are cooking more and we’ve had a lot of cold days so more space heaters were being used.
So to everybody that’s reading this and that’s home majority of the day  please be more careful and pay attention so you don’t add on to these numbers.
There hasn’t been any reports of fatalities in these fires.
