August is officially “Hip Hop Recognition Month” and August 11th is the official day that recognize hip-hop as a United States holiday.
The US Senate passed Senate resolution 331 designating the dates hip-hop was born in the Bronx.
the bill to celebrate hip-hop nationally was sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
