Higher Risk of Developing Diabetes After COVID-19 Infection, According To New Research

A large new study found that people who recovered from Covid-19 within the past year are 40% more likely to receive a new diagnosis of diabetes. Published online at the journal Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology. Most of the people with diabetes in the study, were diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, not Type 1.
