Henrietta Firefighters New Ring-Removal Device

Henrietta firefighters have a new tool for particular emergencies.
The Henrietta Fire District received a Dolphin ring cutter as a generous donation from Walmart. This device facilitates the swift and secure removal of a ring from a swollen or injured finger.
Henrietta Fire District Battalion Chief Jared Guhl stated:”The cutter self-regulates its depth and speed of cutting, preventing the ring from overheating and potentially harming the patient. Our role is simply to apply lubricant, and the tool handles the rest.”
Annually, the department responds to over a dozen calls to remove trapped rings.
