Heavy Snowfall & High Winds Shut Down 6 Megasite Vaccination Stations In New Jersey

A huge storm system is blowing through New York and New Jersey, forcing them to declare a state of emergency. The blizzard has dumped over a foot of snow and put almost 80 million people under winter storm warnings, watches and advisories.
The blizzard started as a powerful rainstorm on the west coast that got significantly colder as it crossed the midwest. Now, it’s currently dumping snow that huge cities like Washington D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York haven’t seen in years.
In addition to the snowfall, there have been gusts of wind reported in excess of 30-50mph.
The Governor of New Jersey Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency and shut down nearly all transit systems, as well as several vaccine megasites.
“Heavy snow, coastal flooding, and high winds are expected in many parts of the state,” Murphy said. “The safety of residents and workers is our utmost priority. Please follow all weather-related guidance and stay off the roads in order to allow access for emergency personnel.”
