Heading into the Holidays, Rapid COVID-19 are in High Demand

Heading home for the holidays and looking for a rapid covid test? Unfortunately, you may be out of luck. Based on a quick search at CVS pharmacies online, there are no available time slots in the Rochester area over the next several days for a rapid test. However, Monroe County is looking to steadily add more testing sites to meet the public demands.

Greater Harvest Church in Greece is one Monroe County testing site that is seeing steady traffic. Community member Ahmed Muhumed commented on the ease of booking an appointment: “I had to try some pharmacies and other places, which were not as fast as this one. Some of them are pretty far from the city, but Monroe County ones are closer to the city.”
