Headed Back to School? Please take a COVID Test!

Written by on December 31, 2021

As students and teachers prepare to head back to school on Monday after winter break, the Monroe County Health Department is urging parents, students and teachers to get tested for COVID. Monroe County Health Officials are warning us that we could see over 2,000 COVID-19 cases in the coming weeks.

Dr. Michael Mendoza, the Public Health Commissioner for Monroe County, stated: “Testing with a rapid test at home is the best way to know if you’re contagious…With school reopening next week, I want to especially urge school personnel and teachers to remain safe so we can have a workforce to send our children to when they go back to school next week.”
