Happy Halloween! Here is Planning for a Safe Halloween

Written by on October 31, 2021

Happy Halloween! Everyone is super excited to have life start going back to normal, especially since this year health leaders say it’s safe to trick-or-treat this year. However, they advise you to be careful.

Monroe County Public Health Commissioner, Mike Mendoza, says that parents should be cautious about celebrating indoors. If your children are not vaccinated, he recommends avoiding indoor celebrations as much as possible. Mendoza stated: “If you’re coming in from trick-or-treating, we ask parents to keep an eye on their youngsters, wear masks indoors if there are people from outside the home visiting. Outdoors is more safe, less likely to transmit.”

The CDC also recommends wearing masks when passing out candy to children.
