Halle Bailey Scores A Role In Pharrell Williams’ Coming-Of-Age Musical

Halle Bailey, known for her role as Ariel in “The Little Mermaid,” has joined the cast of an exciting new musical project by Universal Pictures. This untitled project, a collaboration between Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry, is a coming-of-age musical set in Virginia Beach during the summer of 1977 and draws inspiration from Atlantis Apartments, Williams’ childhood neighborhood. The film boasts a script by Martin Hynes and Steven Levenson. Alongside Bailey, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph are set to star.
