Groundhog Dosen’t See Shadow

Punxsutawney Phil the world’s most famous groundhog predicts a early spring this year after not seeing his show this morning in Pennsylvania. At 7:20 Sunday morning Phil the groundhog came out of his den and did not see his shadow. At the Staten Island zoo in New York City, Charles G. Hog also known as Staten Island Chuck also did not see his shadow after coming out of his den around 7:30 Sunday morning.
There’s few of these groundhog day festivals and for the most part none of the groundhogs saw their shadows this year.
The story goes if the groundhog see his shadow there will be 6 extra weeks of winter and the most popular prediction is the groundhog dosen’t see his shadow we’re going to have a early spring.
How do they really know if the groundhogs had or hasn’t seen it’s shadow?
We live in Rochester, New York in the western New York area we all know the weather here has a mind of its own from heavy snow fall and freezing rain to fridge ice cold temperatures.
I hope we’re really going to have a early spring because I’m over this stuff.
