Greece Schools Looking To Adjusting Start & End Times
Written by Tariq on June 5, 2024
The Greece Central School District has seen a steady decline of bus drivers post-COVID. It started the year with 140 drivers and ended the year with 130 — a nearly 20-percent drop in drivers from 2019. The district is looking to cut down on late bus arrivals with new changes. Greece is now considering having some elementary school kids walk to school, while also increasing the walk to bus stops for others. More future considerations to curb delayed buses include adjusting the start and end times for schools, as well as a push to recruit new drivers.
