Governor Hochul Announces $46 Million for WNY Thruway Improvements

You know it’s summer when construction season starts! Yesterday, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that a 26.5-mile stretch of the New York State Thruway in Western New York is getting a $46 million investment. Two projects will resurface lanes on the Thruway across Genesee County.
Project One, a $23.4 million pavement improvement project, is already underway on a 15.5-mile stretch between Exit 47 in LeRoy and Exit 48 in Batavia. Project Two, a $22.9 million pavement improvement project, is scheduled to begin this month on an 11-mile stretch from Exit 48 in Batavia to just past Exit 48A in Pembroke.
