Governor Andrew Cuomo Announces Mass Vaccination Sites One Coming To Rochester

Written by on February 18, 2021

There will be a mass vaccination site coming in the next few weeks in Rochester. Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday there will be multiple pop-up sites across the state. There will also be four mass vaccination sites that will be run jointly with FEMA next month across the state.

There will be a location in Rochester at the former Kodak Hawkeye parking lot. This location is set to give 1,000 vaccinations per day. It will be one of the four sites jointly run by FEMA. The FEMA locations are scheduled to open on March 3rd. The other three sites will be in Buffalo, Albany, and Yonkers.

Mayor Lovely Warren praised the Governor’s announcement because it will help to bridge the gap in disparate vaccination coverage.

As for the pop-up sites, the one in Rochester will be at Trenton and Pamela Jackson R-Center on North Clinton Avenue. It will open Saturday from 9 am – 5 pm.

When we receive more information we will pass along the information.
