Google Play Store to Pay Out $700M Settlement to Consumers

Google has agreed to a $700 million settlement over alleged anti-competitive practices in the Google Play Store.

If the court approves the settlement in April, most of the money will be distributed to consumers who made Play Store purchases between August 2016 and September 2023.

Most people will receive their payments automatically, sent to the Venmo or PayPal account linked to their Google Play account.
