Garcelle Bauvais Will Be Replacing Tamera Mowry-Housley As Co-Host On ‘The Real’

Variety broke the news yesterday that Garcelle Bauvais will soon be the next co-host of syndicated talk show, The Real, starting on September 21st.

Bauvais says she can’t wait to get started:

“I am thrilled to be joining the dynamic, bold and diverse women on the award-winning talk show ‘The Real.’ My love for pop culture and news, blended with my natural gift of gab, has always made me gravitate towards a talk show environment. It’s also exciting that it’s happening right after my amazing time joining ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’”

Bauvais has an extensive resume in the industry and was the first Black cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She also starred in The Jamie Foxx Show, NYPD Blue and Spiderman Homecoming. Along with acting, she has a very successful modeling career as well.

The Real has been affected by the coronavirus as well and has adapted by filming each show remotely. The producers plan on continuing this format into the next season as well.

Executive Producer Rachel Miskowiec commented on this, saying:

“We are so thrilled to have Garcelle joining our ‘virtual’ Girl Chat Table. Her extensive career in front of and behind the camera, and her willingness to share her life and her points of view on important topics with us make her the perfect addition. We can’t wait for Season 7 to begin.”
