Free N95 Masks Headed to Pharmacies and Grocery Stores

Written by on January 27, 2022

After announcing last week that the Biden administration announced it will deploy 400 million free N95 masks to the public, they have now announced that they are headed pharmacies and grocery stores. According to the Department of Health and Human Services; “Every person is allowed up to 3 free masks pending availability.” While we are unsure of when we are expected to see them near us, the plan to receive them is that the store greeter will be passing out the masks.

The launching of free N95 masks from the White House comes from their latest effort to combat COVID-19. This follows a new recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where the CDC now says cloth masks are not as effective in preventing the spread of the highly contagious omicron variant of the coronavirus and that people should wear an N95 or KN95 mask.
